On December 5, 2017, Google released a new version of the Google Chrome browser. Google Chrome 63 runs on all major operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 7, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Chrome 63 fixed 37 security issues, including one critical vulnerability (CVE-2017-15407, buffer overflow).
What’s new in version 63
The major changes in Chrome 63 include:
- When HTTPS traffic interception attempts are detected as a result of malware or MITM proxy activity, a warning about a possible local MITM attack is displayed.
- The Android version has added experimental chrome://flags, which were previously only available in desktop Chromium.
- In the iOS version, the ability to change the order of bookmarks is back.
- Cursor is now automatically hidden when overlapping videos.
- Added support for Daydream View virtual reality helmets to view WebVR-enabled sites.
