On July 18, 2023, Google released a new version of its browser – Google Chrome 115 for operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. A total of 17 security issues were fixed in Chrome 115.
What’s new in version 115
Among the major new features of Chrome 115:
- Some of the users will get extra sidebar options: page content summary, page search, and notes. The next version of the browser will make these features available to everyone.
- Automatic redirection of HTTP requests to HTTPS.
- Support for new scroll driven animations.
- New option, “Allow this time”, has been added to the pop-up window requesting access to camera, microphone and geolocation.
- Mica transparent interface effect on Windows 11.
- Advanced privacy settings available at chrome://settings/adPrivacy
