About Viber
The first app called “Viber” was released back in 2010, and was designed only for Apple mobile devices, and 3 years later Viber became available for all operating systems and devices.
As of 2024, the number of users of the application has exceeded the figure of 1 billion people, indicating the popularity and convenience of the program.
To date, the owner of the messenger is the company Rakuten. It is actively engaged in updating and improving the application.
In the messenger, there are:
- communities of interest (the “Interesting” button in the main menu),
- Viber Out feature for calls to landlines, including international,
- animated stickers,
- sharing your location with another contact option,
- filters and masks for selfies,
- disappearing messages with a timer that turns on after the recipient read it.
System requirements
Before installing any program, you should first familiarize yourself with its technical requirements. Viber is available for the following platforms:
