On December 5, 2018, Google released a new version of the Google Chrome browser. Google Chrome 71 runs on all major operating systems: Windows 10 / Windows 7, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Chrome 71 fixed 43 security vulnerabilities in the browser. It’s also the latest release for Android 4.1-4.3 (Jelly Bean).
What’s new in version 71
The major changes in Chrome 71 include:
- Advanced blocker for dealing with misleading ads. For example, masquerading as system warnings or using the “Close” button inappropriately.
- In mobile versions of the browser (for Android and iOS), autofill now works better on sites with iframes (embedded pages).
- Long-press on an image allows you to copy it to the clipboard for later pasting into other applications.
- Authentication issues due to outdated cookies have been fixed.
