On March 6, 2018, Google released a new version of the Google Chrome browser. Google Chrome 65 runs on all major operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 7, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. This is the last release that supports OS X 10.9.
What’s new in version 65
The major changes in Chrome 65 include:
- Chrome’s popup blocker prevents sites that redirect users to unwanted resources from opening new windows or tabs.
- All redirects from third-party iframe elements cause the information bar to display instead of a redirect. This measure will prevent redirects when a page sends you to another web document for no apparent reason.
- Links that open the desired landing page in a new tab but redirect to an unwanted resource in the main window will no longer work.
- Incognito screen capture has been disabled in the Android version.
- The iOS version fixes problems with streaming video.
