On October 17, 2017, Google released a new version of the Google Chrome browser. Google Chrome 62 runs on all operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 7, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Chrome 62 fixed 35 security issues.
What’s new in version 62
The major changes in Chrome 62 include:
- Support for OpenType variable fonts.
- The network information API has been updated to tell users the actual connection speed to the website.
- File download speeds in the Android version have been increased.
- HTTP sites requesting user data will now be marked “Not secure” in the omnibox.
- New “Save Your Password” icon.
