On October 25, 2022, Google released a new version of the Google Chrome browser. Google Chrome 107 runs on all major operating systems: Windows 11 / 10 / 7, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. Fourteen vulnerabilities found in previous versions were fixed in Chrome 107, including 3 high-risk vulnerabilities.
What’s new in version 107
The major changes in Chrome 107 include:
- Discontinued support for Android 6.0.
- New interface design to track download status. An indicator has been added to the smart address bar.
- Search results in the sidebar to quickly return to the search engine and go to another search result, without closing the current tab.
- New interface for selecting media files on Android to upload photos and videos.
- New ability to configure hotkeys.
- Ability to import passwords saved in a CSV file. Passwords from the file can be transferred to the browser using the password manager built into the browser (Google Password Manager).
To activate the password import option, enable the chrome://flags/#password-import flag.
